Cinesofa is a Busan-based indie film distributor that was established in 2017 by SUNG Song-ih in order to fill a gap in the region, as indie filmmakers of the region had almost no one to turn if they wanted to release in theaters films that dealt with regional issues. Cinesopa’s first release was KIM Young-jo’s documentary <Still and All> (2015), on the remaining fortunetellers who made the fame of the Yeongdo Bridge area in Busan. Cinesopa has since grown into a collective with its own review group, publications and events.
