Ah Sa-dal and Se Oh-nyeo, a couple, live in a mountain village and burns charcoal. One day, a rumor spreads that a fleet steed is crying. It is foretold that when a strong general is born, a fleet steed is born along with him. Fearing the birth of a general, the foreign enemy looks frantically for the child with the help of the government. It just happens that Oh-nyeo has given birth to a son. She fears for her baby when she learns that he is the general. Sa-dal learns of the truth and tries to kill the child but Oh-nyeo tries to stop him with her pathetic efforts.
