Dongjin works at the immigration office exposing illegal immigrants and entrants. The relationship with his father suffering from dementia is obligatory and the meeting with his younger brother Dongsuk is also awkward. Namil, the coworker of Dongjin, commits irregularities using his rank, and Eunsung, the youngest coworker, is not cool and is easily moved by compassion. Without any deep relationship with them, Dongjin lives his life in loneliness. One day at karaoke, he meets Korean-Chinese Yeonhwa who is a karaoke assistant and has a good feeling about her. Suddenly, he gets the phone of the broker, who is with Dongjin’s nephew Soonbok, and falls into confusion. Due to the sad story of Yeonhwa and the pure strong will of Soonbok, the calm and cool days of Dongjin starts to change little by little. After the death of his father and Yeonhwa committing suicide, Dongjin tries to save Soonbok with all his heart but Namil puts his crime on Dongjin and Eunsung betrays Dongjin for his own family. All Dongjin’s efforts come to nothing and he loses everything. Dongjin is left alone in sorrow while missing and loving Soonbok.
