A VIOLENT PROSECUTOR Director Returns

Actors
LEE Sung-min and NAM Joo-hyuk are set to join forces in the upcoming revenge thriller Remember (literal title). A Violent Prosecutor (2016) director LEE Il-hyung will be handling the reins on the project, which is set to begin production in February.

LEE will take on the role of an octogenarian who lost everything because of pro-Japanese factions during the Japanese occupation of Korea. As he plans his revenge, a young man played by NAM Joo-hyuk helps him.

Prolific character actor LEE Sung-min’s recent roles include the espionage drama The Spy Gone North (2018), the serial killer thriller The Witness (2018) and the noir thriller The Beast this year.

Hugely popular young star NAM Joo-hyuk exploded onto the big screen in last year’s hit period siege drama The Great Battle. NAM recently completed filming the Netflix series The School Nurse Files alongside JUNG Yu-mi for director LEE Kyoung-mi and is currently shooting the KIM Jong-kwan drama Josee (working title) alongside HAN Ji-min.

Director LEE’s debut A Violent Prosecutor, a prison-set thriller with HWANG Jung-min and GANG Dong-won, welcomed 9.7 million viewers (USD 64.06 million) in early 2016.

Like A Violent Prosecutor, production on Remember will also be handled by MOONLIGHT Film, the company set up by The Spy Gone North director YOON Jong-bin.
