BIFF, Holding a Variety Face-to-face Programs in 3 Years, Overcoming the Covid-19 Pandemic

Kang Dongwon, Lee Youngae, Ha Jungwoo, and Han Jimin have confirmed their attendance at the Busan International Film Festival this year. BIFF finally unveiled a lineup of the actors attending Actor’s House, a special talk show, on September 16. Actor’s House is a special talk show where actors, who represent the Korean film industry, are invited to share intimate stories of their acting careers and philosophies with the audience in person.

Kang Dongwon, the main character of Broker (2022), an official invitation to the 27th Busan International Film Festival, will visit Actor’s House. Actor Kang Dongwon, who has tried various genres such as The Priests (2015), A Violent Prosecutor (2016), and Peninsula (2020), left a deep afterimage to the audience with his restrained performance in Broker directed by Kore-eda Hirokazu.

Actor Lee Youngae, who represents the K-Wave, also visits the Busan International Film Festival after a long time through Actor’s House. Lee Youngae, who fascinated the audience with an unprecedented character in Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (2005), met the audience again on the screen with the movie Bring Me Home (2019).

In addition, Ha Jungwoo, who is drawing attention with the recently released Netflix series Narco-Saints (2022), and Han Jimin, who appeared in Director Lee Joonik's first SF series Yonder, will also attend Actor’s House at the Busan International Film Festival. Especially, Yonder, starring Han Jimin, will premier at the ‘On Screen’ section of the Busan International Film Festival this year.

Overcoming the COVID-19 Pandemic for the first time in 3 years, BIFF plans to restore the normal meeting between audiences and movies through various face-to-face programs. The 27th Busan International Film Festival will open on October 5 and run for 10 days until October 14 in the Busan Cinema Center area of Haeundae-gu, Busan.
