Save the Children, in order to foster social empathy for the eradication of child corporal punishment, first organized the Children's Rights Film Festival (CRFF) in 2015. Celebrating its 9th edition this year, the Children's Rights Film Festival is held annually in November during Children's Rights Week, evolving into a 'platform for children's rights' where children and adults raise their voices together.
Good movies pose good questions, and good questions sometimes save the world. Just as children learn about the world and grow through questions, Save the Children's activities in talking about children's rights through films have grown along with the audience. Starting from 2023, the Children's Rights Film Festival will expand into a program for, by, and about children. From creating the CRFF as a platform for children's rights to producing “Save the Children Original Films” with children's participation and implementing educational programs like “Cine Children's Rights School” for child rights literacy, Save the Children's efforts aim to promote and protect the rights of children.
