Rockin’ on Heaven’s Door has been sold to Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia before its release.”
Rockin’ on Heaven’s is a film where a trouble making idol singer forms a band with terminally ill patients. LEE Hong-ki, a member of the idol band FT Island, plays the role of the idol star who gets involved in a violent scene and is ordered by the court to serve at a hospice cell. The film also stars
MA Dong-seok,
LIM Won-hee and
BAEK Jin-hee.
Rockin’ on Heaven’s was sold though overseas markets such as the Berlin European Film Market and the Hong Kong Film Mart. A representative of 9ers Entertainment said, “I think the fact that this is the debut film of the rising Asian star LEE Hong-ki as a screen actor and the good mix of pleasant fun, music and impressions appealed to Asian buyers.”
Rockin’ on Heaven’s will be released all over Japan on June 7th. It will be released in Korea on May 30th.
