“It Is Not Hard to Protect the Environment”
The 10th Green Film Festival In Seoul began its eight-day run after holding its opening ceremony with great fanfare on May 9th. VIPs including YUN Seong-kyun, minister of environment, and famous Korean and foreign filmmakers took part in the opening ceremony held at the Baekyang Concert Hall of Yonsei University. “I really appreciate the role of the Green Film Festival In Seoul to inform people of the fact that it is not hard to protect the environment via environmental films as well as various programs,” said JI who is this year’s eco-friend. JI was followed by a video on the 10th anniversary of the film festival and the music video of the official campaign song starring PARK Hee-bon directed by KIM Tae-yong. “I produced a trailer for the Green Film Festival In Seoul. This time, for its 10th anniversary, I wanted to produce a more special trailer. So, the staff sang and the music was recorded on the spot,” director KIM said. “I hope that the 10th Green Film Festival In Seoul will become a more enjoyable event.” Director KIM was followed by a screening of Promised Land, a Gus Van Sant film starring Matt DAMON. The 10th Green Film Festival In Seoul will run in and around CGV Yongsan and iPark Mall for eight days from May 16th.
