Asian Film Market Awards 2016 and E-IP Winners Are Announced

The Award Ceremony Took Place on Oct. 11
 


The 19th edition of Asian Project Market (APM) and the 2nd edition of Entertainment Intellectual Property (E-IP) Market have announced the winners. The award ceremony for both events took place on October 11th, the last day of Asian Film Market 2016.

This year as many as 27 projects from 16 countries participated in APM, 7 of which are awarded. The Busan Award went to Love and Vengeance by Edwin from Indonesia, and the Bright East Films Award, newly established this year, was given to The Chrysanthemum and the Guillotine by ZEZE Takahisa from Japan. The LOTTE Award for Korean projects, financed by LOTTE Entertainment, was given to Undefined by SEO Eun-young from Korea, and The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) Award went to The French Woman by KIM Hee-Jung from Korea. The CJ Entertainment Award for an international project, financed by CJ Entertainment, was given to Cambodia and France’s White Building by NEANG Kavich. Lastly, MONEFF Award granted by MONEFF went to The Cold-blooded Penguin by JANG Kun-jae from Korea.

The 2nd E-IP Market introduced a total of 20 works through Book To Film and E-IP Pitching events. The NEW Creator Award supported by Next Entertainment World grants USD 10,000 to one work each from the Book To Film and E-IP Pitching selections. This year, the NEW Creator Awards went to “The Lawyer Who Sues Chosun Dynasty” presented by EunHaeng Namu Publishing Co. from the Book To Film selections, and to “Sprinter: Underworld” presented by All That Story from the E-IP Pitching selections.
