JEONG Seung-o’s Indie Picks Up 1-2 Competition Prize in Poland
Move the Grave, the feature-length debut of short film director JEONG Seung-o, picked up the main prize in the 1-2 Competition at this year’s Warsaw International Film Festival, a section that is dedicated to first or second features.
JEONG’s film debuted earlier this year at the Jeonju International Film Festival in the Korean Competition, where it picked up the CGV Arthouse Award. The film has gone on to screen at several festivals, including the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival and the New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF).
The film concerns a family that comes together when they are told they need to move their father’s grave to a new location to make way for a building development project. While most of the family is easy to track down, their brother proves difficult to locate.
