Korean Film and TV Director to Be Represented by Brillstein Entertainment Partners
Drama director LEE Na-jeong has become the latest Korean creator to sign with Hollywood representation. Coming off of the success of the tvN drama Mine, LEE will be represented by the US management company Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
LEE debuted as a director with the comfort woman drama Snowy Road, which first aired as a two-part special on KBS before being edited into a feature version that bowed at the Jeonju International Film Festival in 2015. She went on to helm the first season of the Netflix romantic series Love Alarm before making Mine, the high society women’s solidarity drama with LEE Bo-young and KIM Seo-hyung which is streaming globally on Netflix.
Coming up next for LEE is a new drama series based on a popular Korean webtoon that centers on a fantasy-romance with a reincarnation theme.
“As a female Korean director who has specialized in television, I am excited to pursue opportunities in the States,” said LEE, quoted by Hollywood trade website <Deadline>. She added, “every viewer, regardless of their nationality, enjoys good and compelling content. I look forward to creating meaningful television and film that enables us to communicate with audiences around the globe, transcending nationality or any other barriers.”
Brillstein Entertainment Partners is a Beverly Hills-based management company that has been active for 35 years.
