Romantic Drama from Debut Filmmaker Hyung Seulwoo
Lee Donghwi and Jung Eunchae are set to appear in Man Looking Left, Woman Looking Right (translated title), a romantic drama that will mark the feature directing debut of Hyung Seulwoo.
Lee and Jung will appear as a couple amid a difficult break-up. Lee will play Joonho, a civil servant who has lost his appetite for life and love. Jung is on board as Ahyoung, the young woman who keeps sacrificing herself for Joonho.
After first gaining attention through memorable supporting film roles in films like Way Back Home (2013), Lee was seen in the drama series Reply 1988 and films such as Extreme Job (2019).
Jung was first noticed when she landed the lead in Hong Sangsoo’s Nobody’s Daughter Haewon (2013). She subsequently appeared in The King (2017) and The Great Battle (2018) and the drama series The King: Eternal Monarch last year and L.U.C.A.: The Beginning earlier this year.
Director Hyung previously made several short films such as The Block (2009) and Allergy (2015) and also worked as a production assistant on several commercial features and produced the indie film Live Hard (2021).
Man Looking Left, Woman Looking Right entered production on August 31. The film is being produced by 26 Company, the outfit behind the recent Netflix romantic comedy Sweet & Sour.
