EXIT Director Returns with Romantic Comedy
Lim Yoona and Kim Seonho are set to star in the upcoming romantic comedy Two O’Clock Date (translated title). The project will see Lim re-team with her EXIT (2019) director Lee Sanggeun.
The romcom will focus on two apartment neighbors. Lim will play a woman with a big secret, and Kim has been cast as the man living above her. The film will chronicle the story of their blossoming romance that grows bit by bit as they bump into each other every day.
A worldwide star through her association with the hugely popular girl group Girl’s Generation, Lim Yoona started gaining notice as a film actress through her supporting role in the spy action-comedy hit Confidential Assignment in 2017. She made her leading lady debut on the silver screen through EXIT and is currently on screens in the Chuseok family drama Miracle: Letters to the President.
Kim Seonho, who recently shot to stardom through dramas like Start-Up and the currently airing Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, revealed that he would be making his film debut just a few weeks ago in Sad Tropics (translated title), the next film from director Park Hoonjung. Two O’Clock Date will enter production in March next year once filming for Sad Tropics is completed.
Director Lee Sanggeun made a spectacular debut with EXIT two years ago, which was produced by director Ryoo Seungwan’s company Filmmaker R & K, which is also handling Two O’Clock Date, and became the most well-attended summer release of 2019, selling in excess of nine million tickets.
