NOW Film was established in 2002 and built its place as a film company presenting films of both quality and popularity when it produced <My Mother The Mermaid> as its first step. Its second film <Never Forever>(2007) had been a global project aiming at American markets and was the first Korean film invited to the Sundance Film Festival.
2009’s <A Brand New Life> has made great achievements, being invited to 26 international festivals including the Cannes and Berlin Film Festival. In 2013, <Hwayi:A Monster Boy> was released and broke the box-office record as action-thriller for the most big-hit on first releasing day. Also, the remake of <Hwayi:A Monster Boy> in Hollywood is in pre-production with American film company. Recently, NOW Film released <Doheeya:A Girl At My Door> and officially selected in the category of “Un Certain Regard”. At the moment, Nowfilm is preparing its next 3D animation <Wedding Day> hand in hand with Hollywood as well as various other new attempts.
