Founded by film director JK YOUN under the name 'Doosaboo Film' in 2002, JK Film is a film production company known for having produced <Dancing Queen> (2011), <The Himalayas> (2015) and <Confidential Assignment> (2016), of top of many works helmed by JK YOUN including <Haeundae> (2009) and <Ode to My Father> (2014) which both were major hits with 11 million and 14 million admissions, respectively. Media and entertainment media group CJ E&M, which has been involved in the financing of all of JK Film's productions, became the majority shareholder of the company in 2016. It is currently co-producing its first international project with China's Wanda Pictures.
