Born in 1957, KIM Kap-soo started his career as an actor at the age of 20. KIM has been a prominent performer for the past few decades, having appeared in classics such as IM Kwon-taek’s The Taebaek Mountains (1994), KIM Jee-woon’s A Tale of Two Sisters and KWAK Kyung-taek’s Mutt Boy (2003). Also very active on television, KIM is considered one of Korea’s top method actors. Among the awards he has won throughout his career was the Best Actor prize at the Grand Bell Awards in 1995. Most recently he starred opposite SON Ye-jin in the 2013 thriller Blood and Ties. In addition to his onscreen work, KIM also operates an acting studio and has narrated documentaries and appeared on stage.
