After directing, the Bible of Korean sitcoms, Kim Jin-young made his debut in Choongmooro with <Baby and Me> in 2008. In 2009, he rose to box office hit, star director of comedy films with the smash hit comedy <Fortune Salon>, starring Lim Chang-jeong and Park Yejin. Kim captured young peoples stories of love, relationships, and parting through the unique subject matter of fortune telling and images full of life and vitality. <Meet the In-Laws> deals with the sensitive issue of regional differences in a real yet comedic way through witty characters, entertaining episodes, and skillful directing. The humorous situations and the hidden messages within are sure to deliver great, refreshing laughter and meet audiences as a film with new, fresh entertainment and meaning. He followed that up a year later with <Love Clinique>, another romcom. Three years later, KIM made a sequel to <Meet the In-Laws>. The film was called <Enemies In-Law> but did not feature the original stars.
