Nationality : South Korea

AHN Seo-hyun, born in 2004, started acting at the age of four, for the TV series <Love Marriage> (2008). She made her first big screen appearance soon after, in the indie drama <Maybe> (2009). Even though she had a part in IM Sang-soo’s <The Housemaid> (2010), she was first noticed by the public the following year when she played the sister of the main protagonist interpreted by pop star BAE Suzy in coming-of-age TV series <Dream High> (2011). Also in 2011, she landed her first role in SONG Il-gon’s segment of anthology film <Sorry and Thank You>. After supporting roles in movies <Monster> (2013) and <The Divine Move> (2014) as well as in the soap opera <Single-minded Dandelion> (2014), she was cast by BONG Joon-ho as the lead of Netflix adventure film <Okja> (2017), which would keep her busy for the next two years. Having once declared she wished to become a “beautiful person and a good actor like JEON Do-young”, AHN has already achieved the first step in that direction since <Okja> ultimately competed for the Palme d’Or of the Cannes Film Festival, allowing her to walk the red carpet just like her mentor.
